Quality Assurance Manager
Job Description
As Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our food and beverage products meet or exceed quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements. You will lead a team of 7 employees and oversee all aspects of the quality assurance process, including monitoring and improving processes, training and developing employees, and implementing quality control measures. No degree is required for this position, but prior experience in the food or beverage industry and prior supervision or management experience are mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 7 employees, providing supervision, coaching, and training to ensure their performance meets or exceeds expectations.
- Develop and implement quality assurance programs and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, and take appropriate actions to address them.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished goods to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production, operations, and R&D, to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality manuals, and reports.
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken to prevent reoccurrence.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to proactively identify areas for improvement and recommend changes to the management team.
Job Requirements
- Prior food or beverage industry experience is required, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance.
- Prior supervision or management experience is mandatory, with a proven track record of leading and developing teams.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, regulatory requirements, and food safety standards.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, customers, and external auditors.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to perform thorough inspections and audits.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
