$90000 - $10500 + 10% bonus
Title: Maintenance Superintendent
Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead our maintenance team in a food/beverage manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are operating safely and efficiently, while also leading and developing a team of maintenance professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and direct the maintenance department, including planning and scheduling of work orders, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and machinery.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program that minimizes downtime and reduces maintenance costs.
- Lead and develop a team of maintenance professionals, including setting performance expectations, coaching, training, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including lockout/tag-out, confined space, and electrical safety, and develop and maintain safety training programs for maintenance staff.
- Work closely with production and other departments to ensure smooth operation and minimal disruption to production schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, and maintenance logs.
- Oversee the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.
- Manage maintenance budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in either a supervisor or superintendent capacity required.
- Experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment required.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shift work and weekends.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
