Job Description


We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee the entire shift operation of our manufacturing plant. This includes managing the shipping, maintenance, sanitation, and operational aspects to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are upheld. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in food or beverage manufacturing with a proven track record of leading teams to success. While a degree is not required, hands-on experience and leadership in a similar environment are essential. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee and coordinate all shift operations, including production, shipping, maintenance, and sanitation, to ensure processes run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage team members across different departments, ensuring high levels of productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Implement and monitor strict health and safety standards in compliance with legal and company policies, particularly those pertaining to food safety.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all equipment is in optimal condition, reducing downtime and maximizing production efficiency.
  • Manage the shipping schedule to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to maintain product quality standards and address any issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and cut costs without compromising product quality or safety.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, safety protocols, and company updates.
  • Provide training, development, and performance feedback to staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Prepare and submit shift reports on production, maintenance, and staffing issues to senior management.

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience in food or beverage manufacturing is required, with a strong preference for candidates who have held a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the production schedule.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively coordinating with different departments and levels of management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and priorities effectively, ensuring all tasks are completed within the allocated timeframe.
