$120,000 - $135,000 + 10% bonus

Position Title: Maintenance and Engineering Manager 

Qualifications:

• A four-year degree is not required, but relevant education or certifications in maintenance, engineering, or a related field are desirable.
• Prior manufacturing experience is required.
• Responsibilities: The Maintenance and Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing both plant maintenance and engineering functions within the organization. This position reports directly to the Plant Manager.

 Key Duties: 

• Maintenance Oversight:
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to ensure the efficient operation of all plant equipment.
• Lead and supervise maintenance teams to perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
• Collaborate with production and other departments to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting operations.
• Engineering Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the engineering team to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems.
• Evaluate and recommend upgrades or modifications to existing equipment to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures in all engineering activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement engineering solutions that align with organizational goals.
• Team Leadership:
• Recruit, train, and develop maintenance and engineering staff.
• Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and innovation within the department.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
• Promote a proactive approach to problem-solving and encourage continuous learning among the team.
• Communication and Reporting:
• Regularly update the Plant Manager on the status of maintenance and engineering activities.
• Prepare and present reports on key performance indicators, project statuses, and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
