We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee a food manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in profit and loss (P&L) management, extensive experience in the food manufacturing industry, and proven leadership skills to manage a plant of 300 employees through periods of change.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to all plant operations.
• Oversee the daily operations of the plant, ensuring efficient and effective production.
• Manage and mentor a diverse team of 300 employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Lead the plant through periods of change, implementing strategies to adapt to evolving market conditions and organizational goals.
• Develop and manage the plant’s budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
• Monitor and analyze P&L statements to identify areas for cost reduction and improved financial performance.
• Implement financial controls and reporting systems to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and quality regulations and standards.
• Implement and maintain best practices in manufacturing processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and reduce waste.
• Develop and execute change management strategies to support the plant’s growth and transformation initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with employees about changes and provide support to ensure smooth transitions.
• Address and resolve any resistance to change, fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience.
• Collaborate with senior management to align plant operations with overall company objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies.
• Represent the plant in meetings and presentations, providing updates on performance and strategic initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; a degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Proven track record of managing a large-scale manufacturing plant.
