Maintenance Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing facility. This leadership role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, developing maintenance strategies, and leading a team of skilled technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support maintenance operations for an assigned production area and shift
- Assist in planning, organizing, and directing daily maintenance activities while establishing effective work methods and procedures
- Supervise maintenance personnel and provide coaching, training, and performance leadership
- Develop equipment layouts and support the installation of new machinery and process improvements
- Prepare estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and project requirements
- Oversee the repair and maintenance of mechanical, structural, and facility-related systems
- Review completed work orders and help establish maintenance standards and best practices
- Manage and continuously improve preventive maintenance programs utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Analyze downtime trends and equipment history to identify chronic reliability issues and implement long-term corrective actions
- Partner with operations and engineering teams to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, cost reduction, and operational performance
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 3–5 years of maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs and CMMS platforms
- Knowledge of equipment layout, drafting, project management, ergonomic design, and CAD systems
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and leadership skills
- Experience supporting regulated manufacturing environments is highly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while leading teams in a fast-paced production setting
