Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
We are currently seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and ensure the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility's maintenance activities. This role is pivotal in minimizing downtime, improving productivity, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance within a regulated manufacturing environment, possessing practical skills and a deep understanding of maintenance procedures and equipment. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, this position plays a key role in supporting our production goals and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Lead by example, providing hands-on support in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, procedures, and priorities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements within the maintenance department, promoting a culture of safety first.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff, enhancing their skills and ensuring adherence to best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager and other department leads to improve maintenance strategies, procedures, and overall efficiency.
- Manage maintenance inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and parts are available while controlling costs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing enhancements to maintenance practices and plant operations.
- Provide regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and any issues impacting production to the Maintenance Manager.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in a hands-on maintenance role within a regulated manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of effectively supervising and motivating a team.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal training or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
