Overview:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily maintenance activities within a food and/or beverage manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all equipment, utilities, and systems are maintained to support safe, reliable, and efficient production operations. The Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team of five maintenance technicians, providing hands-on guidance, scheduling work, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Supervise, coach, and support a team of five maintenance technicians, including daily work assignments, troubleshooting assistance, and performance feedback.
• Coordinate and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize equipment downtime and ensure consistent production output.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues, escalating complex challenges to the Maintenance Manager when necessary.
• Ensure adherence to all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including GMPs and plant safety policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts inventory through the facility’s CMMS or maintenance tracking system.
• Assist with planning and execution of equipment installations, overhauls, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with production, sanitation, and quality teams to support operational goals.
• Promote and model a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning within the maintenance team.

• Prior experience working in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment is required.
• Experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or related technical roles is required.
• Previous supervisory or team lead experience is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to time-sensitive equipment issues.
• No degree required—relevant hands-on experience is valued.
