We are currently seeking a highly experienced and dynamic DC Director. The ideal candidate will possess a four-year degree, a proven track record of leadership in distribution center or warehousing environments, and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. The Distribution Center Director will oversee all operations within the distribution center, which is expected to have over 500 employees.

Responsibilities: 

• Lead and manage all aspects of the distribution center's operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards and procedures.
• Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to optimize performance, streamline processes, and achieve operational objectives.
• Hire, train, mentor, and motivate a large team of employees, including department managers and supervisors.
• Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track productivity, quality, safety, and customer service metrics.
• Monitor and analyze operational performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments, including logistics, transportation, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including safety, environmental, and labor laws.
• Develop and manage the distribution center's budget, including labor costs, equipment expenses, and operational expenditures.
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the distribution center.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive leadership experience in distribution center or warehousing operations, including at least 3 years in a senior management role.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a large team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills.
• Knowledge of distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology solutions used in distribution center operations.
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving key performance targets.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed to support the needs of the business.
