Job Title: Operations Manager

Reports To: Plant Director

Position Overview: 

The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production efficiency, quality standards, and safety compliance. This role plays a critical part in driving operational excellence, managing resources, and supporting strategic initiatives to meet organizational goals. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and safety.
• Monitor performance metrics (KPIs) to ensure targets for productivity, cost, and quality are met.
• Collaborate with the Plant Director to develop and implement operational strategies and process improvements.
• Oversee workforce scheduling, staffing levels, and training to maintain operational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, and quality) to resolve production challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflows.
• Prepare and analyze operational reports for senior leadership.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional development.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree (4-year degree required); a focus in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred—experience in any manufacturing environment will be considered.
• Proven track record in managing teams and achieving operational goals.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is a plus.
