$145,000 - $170,000 + 20% bonus
Job Title: Plant Manager
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Plant Manager with a background in food manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful leadership in a similar role, managing a plant of approximately 150 employees. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Plant Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the plant, meeting production goals, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead and inspire a diverse team of approximately 150 employees.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Implement effective communication strategies to ensure all team members are informed and engaged.
Operational Excellence:
Oversee day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are met.
Develop and implement operational procedures to optimize production processes.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve plant performance.
Production Planning and Scheduling:
Collaborate with production planning teams to develop schedules and timelines.
Ensure timely production and delivery of high-quality products.
Quality Assurance:
Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures.
Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
Budget Management:
Work closely with the General Manager to develop and manage the plant budget.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Identify areas for innovation and process optimization.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plant Manager in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledge of quality control and safety standards.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with production planning and scheduling.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience managing a team of at least 150 employees.
- A 4-year degree is not required, but relevant experience in food manufacturing is essential.
