Job Description

A leading company in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily plant operations and lead a team of supervisors and production staff. This individual will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and manage all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and safety.
  • Supervise and develop a team of five direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
  • Monitor production metrics to ensure efficiency, cost control, and compliance with company standards.
  • Implement and maintain food safety and quality assurance programs (HACCP, GMP, SQF, etc.).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering to meet production goals.
  • Identify and execute process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and operational reports.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Food manufacturing experience required; strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Proven experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to drive results through process improvement and team engagement.
  • Bachelor’s degree not required; equivalent experience strongly considered.
