Job Title: Production Manager  

Job Summary: The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the production department A 4-year degree is not required for this position, but prior experience in the food, beverage, or CPG industry is essential. The Production Manager will report to the Assistant Plant Manager and will lead a team of 3 supervisors with approximately 40 hourly employees with the primary objective is to ensure the efficient and safe production of high-quality products while meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Team Leadership: Lead and provide guidance to a team of 3 production supervisors and approximately 40 hourly production employees, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and productivity.
• Production Planning: Collaborate with the Assistant Plant Manager to develop production plans, schedules, and resource allocation to meet production targets and customer demand.
• Quality Assurance: Oversee production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards, implementing and enforcing quality control measures as necessary.
• Efficiency and Productivity: Continuously monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the production team.
• Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of production supervisors and employees, keeping them up-to-date with industry best practices.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of production activities, including output, downtime, quality metrics, and any deviations. Generate and submit reports as required.
• Problem Solving: Address production-related issues promptly, coordinating resources and making decisions to minimize disruptions and maintain continuous production flow.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and collaborate with relevant departments to ensure materials and supplies are available to support production.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to optimize production operations, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.

• Prior experience in the food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing industry is required.
• A 4-year degree is not required but may be considered advantageous.
• Proven leadership and team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure production environment.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using relevant production management software.
• Flexibility to work in shifts if required.
