Production Manager

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager with a background in food manufacturing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of management experience and a proven track record of successfully leading teams in a fast-paced production environment. A 4-year degree is not required, but relevant work experience is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 150 employees in the production department, ensuring they are motivated, productive, and working safely.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring that all production targets and quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with the Plant Director and other department heads to develop and implement production strategies, process improvements, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet customer demands and optimize efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as food safety and quality standards.
• Identify training needs and provide ongoing coaching and development to team members.
• Implement and maintain production performance metrics, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.
• Proactively address any production-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure equipment is properly maintained and downtime is minimized.
• Collaborate with the Supply Chain department to manage inventory levels effectively.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance and key performance indicators to the Plant Director.
