Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager
Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager with a background in food or beverage manufacturing and strong leadership skills. As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. You will lead a team of quality assurance professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the production cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Lead and manage a team of quality assurance professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee all aspects of product quality, from raw material inspection to finished product release, ensuring adherence to specifications and standards.
- Establish and maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track quality performance.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, and supply chain, to address quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Manage the documentation of quality control processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), test methods, and specifications.
- Coordinate and participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and customer requirements.
- Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quality assurance and implement necessary changes to maintain a competitive edge.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as food science, microbiology, or quality management.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the food or beverage manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA) and quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO).
- Experience with implementing and maintaining quality control processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in conducting audits, inspections, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent understanding of product specifications, testing methods, and quality assurance documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate quality requirements to stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus.
