Quality Assurance Supervisor
Job Description
The QA (Quality Assurance) Supervisor is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality and safety of products throughout the production process. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining regulatory compliance and meeting the highest standards for product quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the quality assurance team to ensure the implementation and adherence to quality control processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, and regulatory affairs, to establish and maintain quality standards for products.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistent product quality and safety.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production process to identify potential issues and deviations from quality standards.
- Monitor and analyze production data and quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Investigate customer complaints and internal quality incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and guidelines.
- Ensure that all production processes and products meet established specifications and quality requirements.
- Provide training to production staff on quality control processes, good manufacturing practices, and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that raw materials and ingredients meet quality specifications.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience is required, preferably within the food or beverage industry.
- Prior experience in a quality assurance or quality control role is beneficial.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, such as FDA regulations and HACCP principles, is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey quality-related information to various teams.
- Leadership abilities to manage and motivate the quality assurance team.
- Analytical skills to assess data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies used in the food manufacturing industry.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and production demands.
