Job Title: Refrigeration Manager

We are currently seeking a Refrigeration Manager.  A degree is not required for this position, prior experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is essential. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge in refrigeration and be adept at troubleshooting and maintaining various refrigeration equipment. 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and oversee the operation of our refrigeration systems, ensuring they function efficiently and safely.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on refrigeration equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
• Respond promptly to any refrigeration-related issues or emergencies to minimize downtime and mitigate risks.
• Coordinate with suppliers for the procurement of necessary parts and equipment for repairs and maintenance.
• Train and supervise junior staff members in proper refrigeration procedures and safety protocols.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory levels.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, particularly regarding ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Collaborate with other departments to optimize refrigeration processes and meet production demands.

• Prior experience working with and maintaining ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Hands-on knowledge of refrigeration principles and equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., cold temperatures).
• Leadership experience is not required but is a plus.
