We are seeking a Safety Manager with prior manufacturing experience. The Safety Manager will report directly to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety protocols and procedures within the manufacturing facility.

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Provide safety training to employees, including new hires and ongoing refresher courses.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Collaborate with department managers to address safety concerns and implement best practices.
• Maintain safety records and reports as required by regulatory agencies.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to safety.
• Lead safety committee meetings and initiatives to promote a culture of safety awareness among employees.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies during safety inspections and audits.
• Assist in emergency response planning and drills.

• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and safety requirements.
• Proven experience developing and implementing safety programs and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate incidents and implement effective corrective actions.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
