The Shift Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations during assigned shifts to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role provides direct leadership to hourly teams, drives accountability, and ensures operational execution aligns with safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.

• Lead and supervise production operations during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing safety procedures, addressing unsafe conditions, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
• Manage and support hourly team members through coaching, training, performance feedback, and corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate production activities to meet daily output, efficiency, and service level goals.
• Monitor equipment performance and production flow; partner with maintenance and support teams to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and documentation requirements.
• Review production reports, labor utilization, and key shift metrics; communicate performance and issues to leadership.
• Lead shift-level problem solving, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and standardized work practices.
• Maintain accurate records related to safety incidents, production output, labor, and quality events.
• Ensure effective shift handoffs through clear communication of priorities, issues, and follow-up actions.
• Support staffing needs, including schedule adherence, attendance monitoring, and overtime coordination.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with quality, safety, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent leadership experience in manufacturing may be considered.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong working knowledge of safety practices, quality systems, and production controls.
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting operational deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience driving performance through metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
• High level of accountability, organization, and follow-through.
